Top 10 Male Fragrances

Article by Katherine Binks April 30, 2015

We all know that choosing a fragrance can be difficult, and if we get it wrong it can be an expensive mistake to make, particularly for us students.

Typically, its only after we purchase our favourite brand that we realise the scent is either too strong, too weak, or just disappears right after you’ve sprayed it – characteristics nobody wants from an expensive brand.

To avoid this risk, here is a list of some of the top-rated fragrances on the market to date, which are recommended for promising a fresh, lasting scent.
Jean Paul torso shaped bottle and tin can packaging1. Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau Male: 75ml, £39.50
This is a super fresh fragrance with sharp top notes of mint and artemisia, balanced by subtle scents of lavender and musk. The brand is highly rated for its brilliant smell, which both men and women adore! Its lasting durability is another added bonus.

Lascoste LIVE scent cube bottle2. Lacoste L!VE: 40ml, £28.50
Lacoste L!VE promises an energetic and bright fragrance that awakens your senses. It is described as an aromatic fresh fragrance, containing green leaves and aquatic heart notes that accentuate the zesty lime and saffron top notes. These mix perfectly with the fragrances base notes of liquorice, sandalwood and guaiac wood, which are predominant and have a musky, woody scent that lasts all day.

Blue Ralph Lauren bottle with green pony logo4. Ralph Lauren Big Pony Blue: 40ml, £29.99
This light, zesty aftershave is perfect for the summer with its citrusy top notes, containing lime and sweet grapefruit, and an oak base note. People love this fragrance for its refreshing scent, and despite its light smell, it has the ability to last throughout the day.

Soft green liquid in a glass bottle5. Paco Rabanne Pour Homme: 100ml, £19.50
Paco Rabanne Pour Homme was one of the first male fragrances not to use the classic citrusy notes. Instead it contains sweet fruity top notes such as blood mandarin and peppermint, combined with floral rose and musk heart notes. This fragrance is popular due to its impressive value for money.
